Join Congregation Shearith Israel and the K3 Council at Japan Society to mark the 50th anniversary of the passing of a great figure in both Jewish and Japanese history, Setsuzo Kotsuji. A special lecture will be delivered by Rabbi Meir Soloveichik, whose own grandparents were among the Jews in Japan during this period.  Remarks will be delivered by Ambassador Mikio Mori, Consul General of Japan in New York, and the lecture will be followed by a conversation between Rabbi Soloveichik and Dr. Joshua W. Walker, President and CEO of Japan Society.
